In my years of K-12, I have experienced distance learning through Zoom when the COVID-19 pandemic hit during my 8th-grade year. We left school in April and did not return till I was a freshman in high school. This let me experience having to discipline myself to do my schoolwork, attend the Zoom meetings, and actually do my assignments. At that age, I was not very good with technology and had to quickly learn and adapt to these new systems of learning. I think this way was not as effective as regular learning styles because I am not someone who can learn in my house on my bed; I need to be in school in person learning. I have not experienced the learning that requires you to watch a video of a professor teaching, and I think that is a good thing because I don't think I would be able to sit still and listen to it without my mind going wild.

The OER is a site that provides educational ideas to teachers, which can be in the form of a video, lesson plan, assignments, activities, or homework. These resources can be very helpful to teachers to allow them to get more input on how to teach their students. These different resources can help students by getting a different perspective that they didn't know they needed. Getting the same perspective from the same teacher for a whole year can be unhelpful, but mixing up perspectives can help children learn more effectively. A website I found using OER is about the earth and things you can do for Earth Day in your school https://www.earthday.org/earth-day-schools/
this link tells teachers about things in their school that can help student learn about the earth more effectively.

when working on assignment 4 i have learned that you can record a video in power point over the slides and write a transcript on what you should say. I also fount out you can add ALT text to pictures in a power point as well as bring text in in groups from the click of the space button. i Liked the fact i could record a video and talk over the slide but it didn't like having to make a transcript before hand and read of of it because I like talking about what i'm thinking at the moment and not having to go off of a script. I also liked getting to create the slides like I was making a lesson for a class.
