This assignment took a bit of time to learn and do, but I have learned how to put buttons in a PowerPoint that can queue to a different slide anywhere in the PowerPoint. I chose to do a jeopardy quiz, and it's turning out good so far, but we will see if it works later. This assignment I loved to do, but it was hard to come up with all the questions to put in the game. This can be very helpful in the classroom setting to review with the kids and have fun at the same time.
As an elementary science teacher, I would use data collection tools like Qualtrics to better help me understand how students are engaging with the lessons. I could create short surveys after each unit to see which activities best helped them learn and where they may sare struggling. This information would guide me in adjusting my instruction and providing special support on specific, harder topics. Using digital data tools would also help me communicate better with families by gathering feedback on their child’s learning experiences.
A technology-related skill I would like to learn next is creating interactive digital quizzes using Google Forms. My SMART goal is to learn to design and assign fully functional self-grading quiz within the next eight weeks. I will do this by watching tutorials, practicing sample quizzes, and asking peers to test them. By the end of this period, I will have met my goal when I can confidently create a quiz aligned to a 4th-grade standard.
