When we visited tech sandbox last week I not only learned that tech sandbox exists but I also learned that they have so many different types of technology there. If I was to envision my future classroom I could see my kids using the lego robot and using the 3D printing pens to make different objects. I would love to use the smart boards in a class and it would be very helpful to have the one that can adjust so that the kids I am teaching can have the board at their height if I needed them to write on it. I loved the calming headset but I have a feeling those would break to easily in a classroom and same thing for the 3D printer.
the standard I chose was about posting misinformation and slander on the internet. I chose this because I think this topic needs to be talked about with the younger generation about how not everything you see on the internet is real and how you cant trust everything on instagram or tik tok. this is one thing I had to learn on social media and the internet that I wasn't very fond to because I want to trust everything i see but now know that I can not do that. I feel confident on being bale to implement this is my classroom since it is one thing that everyone needs to know especially as they grow up citing pages on the internet that its good to check who wrote it and what its credibility is.
This resource is very helpful and can be used in a classroom because I think it will be engaging for the students with pier work and guiding questions. this lesson plan it provides allows kids to try and work on a presentation on a topic of their choice. this will allow students to get familiar with technology as well as how to use it in a school/educational setting. this tool can be very helpful for teachers who don't have many ideas on how to incorporate new way of learning for their students.
