In this class, Introduction to Educational Technology, I hope to learn a lot about the different software and sites that help when doing anything in teaching. I am a Taekwondo Instructor, so I can't really use technology to teach Taekwondo, but it has always interested me in seeing all the different sites that can be used to display so many things in so many different ways. I love being creative, so I hope we get to do more things with Canva and design more things like the welcome sign that we did earlier. I also hope to get adjusted to using PowerPoint and other basic software like that.

My prior experiences in technology are not very deep. I mainly use technology when I'm in school and not much else. I am a very physical learner, so I love being able to use these different sites and software and to explore them by using them in our assignments. When using technology in an educational setting, I am very familiar with Canvas, Outlook, and Word, but not so familiar with PowerPoint, Excel, or OneDrive. I hope that after this course, I will get very familiar with all these programs.

My PLN consists of my family, friends, my dogs, and other nonliving things like my phone, my books, and my study spaces. I would like to learn about different software used to help children's behavior in school and to help them want to behave and learn. I love to paint and color when trying to relax, and I also love listening to a good audiobook or watching some of my favorite shows. Some resources I use to help my learning are my canvas to-do to help see which assignments are due when, and to help me stay on task when I need to get done lot of my work done. This helps me stay on top of all my schoolwork and not procrastinate.

  1. I am the same way with learning new things and that I too work best when I am able to explore what I am learning (in this case websites) and learn through the experiences created from exploring and figuring out what does what.
