When I was in high school, I got very fluent with using Microsoft Word and OneDrive, and almost all of my assignments were through Word or were inserted into Word to then be edited and submitted. When going to Tallahassee State College, I used Word even more in assignments, not only on my laptop, but also started to use it on my iPad as well. This helped me get good at going through different types of files to input them into Word to be able to edit them and submit them through Word. I generally prefer Word over all other software and don't think I have used any other word processing software, and would not be comfortable with any other one than Microsoft Word.

ISTE Standard for Education is something that we went over on Tuesday in class, and I thought that the most meaningful standard is citizen because of the fact that children, as they grow up, should want to make a positive impact on the world. I have not learned anything new about this standard, but I do feel very passionate about children making a meaningful, positive impact on the world in whatever they decide to do with their lives. One thing I am concerned about is the child's ability to tell what is positive and what is negative. I am also concerned about how deep some children will go to get to where they want to be, even if they have to do something bad to get there.

Personally, I do not believe in digital natives in children. The reason I don't agree is that I know some families don't have enough money to provide electronics for their children. But some families like how I plan to raise my children, which is by not allowing them to be on electronics at all times of the day. I have seen a very heavy pattern in kids playing games on their parents' phones and iPads, but I have seen a few families and kids that read books when they are bored or play card games or just talk with someone, which I think is much healthier than electronic games. I do believe that if you are going to be a teacher, you need to be fluent in all aspects of technology that will be used in your classroom.I anticipate that in future classrooms, kids will be using their phones for every assignment in classes.
